Haddin Katich are on fire
NEWS.com.au – Nov 25, 2007
article-tools –> November 25 2007 12:00am IN-FRM batsmen Brad Haddin and Simon Katich provided the major fireworks as NSW made 264 against Tasmania in their Ford Ranger Cup one-day match at North Sydney val today. Katich (56 off 52 balls) provided the early impetus and Haddin (74 off 78) kept the scoreboard moving in the second half of the innings which ended on the penultimate delivery. Top of the table Tasmania kept the pressure on the bottom of the ladder Blues with some terrific fielding. Haddin who struck six fours and two sixes fell to a spectacular leaping catch at long off by Brad Butterworth off Ben Hilfenhaus. Dan Marsh who was confirmed last week as Tasmania’s permanent skipper took three catches including a superb low snare at short extra cover off Butterworth (1-53 off 10 overs) to dismiss Moises Henriques (9 off 15). George Bailey got in on the act with two catches and a direct hit run-out of Dominic Thornely (3 off 9). The Blues suffered a blow before the game when Test opening batsman Phil Jaques withdrew with an ear infection.

In fact Jackman was sailing in his 40th Maria Island Race; Sally in her first as skipper of Archie. Her crew included Derwent Sailing Squadron commodore Scott Brain and club manager Andie Davison.
