The recruiters ‘” part two
AFL – Jun 28, 2007
Recruiter2: He booted five goals and I liked the way he setthe game up. He’s got a little bit of class. AaronCorneliusRecruiter 1: Aaron Cornelius kicked five goals for Tasmania but he isn’t eligible for thisyear’s draft. There are good wraps on him moving forward. Recruiter2: Cornelius has got a bit of excitement about him. He plays from behind a bit too much and plays with some arrogance but he’s gotnatural talent. TomBellchambersRecruiter 1: Bellchambers was quite impressive in the ruck ? particularly theuse of his body and his centre tap work… He took a few marks but I stillworry about his ability to run. TomCollierRecruiter 1: When he was moved onto the ball he made a big impact in the secondquarter. This got Tasmaniaback into the game. Coming into the championships Collier had played in thesenior state game for Tasmania against Queensland. He waswidely considered to be the player to watch entering these championships forthem. Recruiter2: Collier was really good for three quarters butprobably dropped off a bit in the last term. He plays a rugby-style of gamehe’s not a great decision-maker but he is developing a strong body.

LLEWELLYN’S HYPCRISY N VICTIMS F CRIME CMPENSATIN
Tasmanian Greens – Jun 28, 2007
Greens Workplace Relations spokesperson Nick McKim MHA said the Greens support Sgt Cooper claiming for pain and suffering but that the only reason that Sgt Cooper needs to apply quickly is that the government is about to change the law to deny other Tasmanian workers the opportunity to do so. “If Minister Llewellyn supports Sergeant Cooper claiming for pain and suffering which I am sure all Tasmanians do he should not be moving to deny other Tasmanian workers the opportunity to do the same. “It is all very well for the Minister to advise Sgt Cooper to claim quickly for pain and suffering but the fact remains that in the tragic event that another police officer is shot that option will not be available due to this government’s lack of compassion” Mr McKim said. “Mr Llewellyn’s advice to Sgt Cooper is an effective admission that the government should not be moving to prevent Tasmanian workers who are victims of crime from claiming for pain and suffering.

Distance problems facing cancer patients
ABC nline – ABC nline – Jun 28, 2007
It’s found a disproportionate number of people in Tasmania live in regional and rural communities with the figures also showing people in country areas more likely to develop cancer. The CE of the Cancer Council in Tasmania Lawson Ride. says one of the problems is difficulty gaining access to treatment. +”Unfortunately we’ve got higher rates of cervical melanoma and smoking related cancers in regional areas and that’s of particular concern because there’s a lot of reasons behind that” Mr Ride said. “Some of its lifestyle and obviously some of its the ageing population but I think we just really need to take a big breather at the moment and look at the transport and accommodation schemes because that’s really quite important for people choosing which treatment to take.
